In this sixth episode, the Qing Dynasty continues to provide plenty of Feng Shui food for thought. This particular episode focuses on Emperor Qian Long’s tomb, which is located in the Eastern Qing Tombs complex. Emperor Qian Long is remembered as being one of the most renowned emperors in Chinese history, as he ascended the throne at age 25 and reigned for 60 years.

His reign was a truly successful one on every count, and he was a man of many skills – being a hunter, scholar, poet, and a keen student of Feng Shui. He vastly expanded the territory of China and increased the population of the Qing Dynasty by doing so. However, the years towards the end of his reign and after his death proved to be somewhat unfortunate for the Qing Dynasty.

Despite his particular interest and aptitude in Feng Shui, the spot he chose for his burial place is less than ideal. Although the spot he chose is known as a ‘Dragon Spot’, the Feng Shui of the location is less than ideal, which explains why his descendants suffered from poor luck.

Joey explains just how one seemingly small factor – the direction in which Emperor Qian Long’s tomb is facing – resulted in such far-reaching and dire consequences for his Qing Dynasty descendants. Even though the spot is surrounded by lots of mountains and enjoys other good Feng Shui features, this one particular factor led to the downfall of the subsequent generations and the rise of one ruthless and power-hungry Empress.

In episode six, learn all about the Feng Shui effects of direction and how it can undo the destiny of an empire!
