Feng Shui and Architecture at Taylors College

18th December 2005 - Subang Jaya, Malaysia
Just one week shy of Christmas, on the 18 th December, Joey Yap held a talk on applying the science of Feng Shui to the configuration of building structures at the Taylor 's School of Architecture in Subang Jaya. The talk introduced potential Architecture students to the fundamentals of Feng Shui and how they could merge it with their practice of architecture.

When constructing a building, an architect has to consider multiple factors; design, build, environment and style so it is not surprising that many famous architects apply Feng Shui in their plans. Even property tycoons like Donald Trump consult with Feng Shui Masters when undertaking a a new development, so it is no surprise that many architects are keen to learn how they can successfully blend both of these.

“Feng Shui is just as applicable to a home as it is to a large commercial property”, Joey Yap explained. He focused on dispelling the myths surrounding Feng Shui, explaining the difference between New Age and Classical Feng Shui before finally ending the session with a question and answer session with the attendees. The attendees were eager to find out more and many of the students were enthusiastic about being able to apply Feng Shui to their architecture projects in future.
