Question Posted: 13 Dec 2006 at 12:00:00 AM
Dear Joey, I've just finished reading your 2nd Bazi book. Can the hidden stems clash/combine with the other stems in the 4 -pillar chart, the luck pillars and the annual pillar? Also, in some chinese ten thousand year calender an extra element is derived from the Jia Zi called the 'na yin.' Do I take this element into consideration when doing an analysis? Thank you. Greetings Liu, I hope I understood your question right. Hidden Stems do not interact with the Heavenly Stems this way. The Hidden Stems reveal the information while the Branches (that carry the Hidden Stems) carry the nature of the relationship (clash/combo/harm). You do not have to factor in the NaYin into your BaZi reading - it is mostly used to read natural phenomena. Cheers.
