It was three strikes for Joey Yap as he presented his third successive event in Bangkok! For the very first time, he took his annual seminar on Feng Shui and Chinese Astrology up north... to Thailand. Entitled 'Succeeding in Turbulent Times', the seminar was held at the Radisson Hotel in Bangkok on Saturday, February 6, from 1.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.

With the year 2010 set for blazing new trails, Joey Yap presented his first ever event on Feng Shui in Thailand, which was organised by a subsidiary company of Nation Group - the leading news, media, communications and information provider in Thailand. Entitled 'Feng Shui for Home and Condominium Buyers', the workshop was held at the Radisson Hotel in Bangkok on Friday, February 5.

There was no let-up in the level of excitement as Joey Yap also conducted his first workshop on Face Reading, another Chinese Metaphysics subject, at the Radisson Hotel in Bangkok on Friday, February 5. Entitled 'Discover Face Reading', the workshop ran from 1.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. and was well attended by about 180 enthusiasts and practitioners.

Public Bank specially invited Joey Yap to deliver an inaugural corporate talk at the 5-star luxury Hotel Nikko Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, January 31. Entitled 'Market Outlook & Feng Shui Seminar 2010', the event was attended by 150 invited guests of Malaysia's award-winning, top-tier bank.

Intel Malaysia, the largest semiconductor manufacturing facility to be based outside of Intel Corporation, USA, invited Joey Yap to give a talk on Feng Shui and Astrology for 2010 at its campuses located in Penang and Kulim on Monday, January 25.

Within a week, Joey Yap's 'Succeeding in Turbulent Times' headed down south to the Raffles City Convention Centre in Singapore. The huge turnout at the Padang and Collyer Halls on Saturday, January 23, 2010, was ample testimony to his highly anticipated Feng Shui & Astrology Seminar for 2010.

In conjunction with Royal Selangor's launch of its Year of the Tiger gifts collection to usher in the Lunar New Year, Joey Yap graced the occasion with his opportune talk on 'Feng Shui and Astrology for 2010'.

The publisher of Creative Home, a monthly magazine on interior design for homes, invited Joey Yap as a special guest for their 'Creative Home Talk Show'. The event was held on Saturday, December 19 at the Plenary Theatre Auditorium of KL Convention Centre. Listening attentively to Joey's talk entitled 'Interior Feng Shui' were upmarket homeowners, homebuyers, real estate agents, interior designers and architects.

BaZi Mastery Series Module 4 was held from December 16 to 20, 2009 in the Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur - a luxurious, new five-star hotel that served scrumptious food amidst an elegant ambience. It was the perfect venue for the final module of the BaZi Mastery Series.

Microsoft Malaysia invited Joey Yap to speak during a one-day business and corporate seminar by Microsoft Dynamics entitled, 'Unleash Your Potential, Maximize Productivity.' The event took place at the Business Centre of Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa in Bandar Sunway, Petaling Jaya. Joey spoke on the outlook for 2010, Year of the Metal Tiger, from a Feng Shui and Astrology perspective during his presentation titled 'Unleashing Your Potential in the Year of the Metal Tiger.' He provided tips and guidelines on how to maximise opportunities that will crop up during the year from a business and entrepreneurial standpoint.

The BaZi Mastery Series Module 2 took place at the Mastery Academy between November 13 and 15, 2009. The class was taught by MA Instructor Bernice Low, and it was a deeper and more intensive exploration of BaZi as well as a progression from the BaZi Module 1. In fact, practically all the students in Module 2 had attended the previous Module 1 and were keen to expand their knowledge on the more complex fundamentals of BaZi.

Joey Yap made his North American stop in New York for his annual Feng Shui and Astrology Seminar for 2010. The seminar was held at Times Square in the city, and was enthusiastically attended by many practitioners. It was the 2nd time Joey Yap brought this seminar to New York, and it was widely attended by members of the press and media.

Joey Yap's annual Feng Shui and Astrology Seminar for 2010 had an early start in Europe in October 2009. First stop: Frankfurt, Germany! This was the first time that Joey's Feng Shui and Astrology seminar was held in this German city, and it was truly a highly-anticipated event for the people who were there in attendance.

Joey Yap taught the inaugural Xuan Kong Mastery Series Module 3 in Kuala Lumpur over the course of 5 days, from September 30 to October 4 2009. The class was held in Boulevard Hotel at Mid Valley City. This class delved into a very advanced level of Xuan Kong Da Gua study and exploration.

Students converged at the Mastery Academy on Sunday, September 27 for the Xuan Kong Mastery Series Module 2B: Purple White. Taught personally by Joey Yap, this advanced Xuan Kong class was largely made up of practitioners and upper level students who were there to study the sophisticated techniques of advanced Xuan Kong Feng Shui.

There was a flurry of activity at the Quest on Lonsdale in Melbourne between the days of September 10 to September 13, as students gathered there to embark on BaZi study. On Sunday, August 2nd 2009, the Mastery Academy team descended into Singapore for Joey Yap's BaZi Wealth Profiles seminar. Held at the Raffles City Convention Centre in the heart of Singapore city, the event saw a massive turnout in audience and plenty of high energy. While the seminar itself was slated to take place between 10 AM and 5 PM, members of the audience already started trickling in to the venue as early as 8 AM.

Students descended eagerly onto the Mastery Academy office in The Boulevard, Mid Valley City for their introductory foray into Destiny Analysis with BaZi Mastery Series Module 1. The class was taught by MA Instructor Toh Kong Eu.

Feng Shui for Life, a beginner's programme to applying Classical Feng Shui, was held in Kuala Lumpur at the Mastery Academy. This was the first time that the course was being taught in Cantonese, with the first 3 days of the programmed taught by Master Hung, a Mastery Academy instructor.

Joey Yap took to the classroom over the course of four days of July 9 to 12, 2009, to teach his Yi Jing Mastery Series Modules 1 and 2. Both modules saw a good turnout of students were keen to learn more about this ancient and respected art of divination.

The Plenary Hall at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre was a thriving spot of activity from the early hours of Sunday, June 14. Joey Yap' s first Cantonese seminar was taking place at the venue, and the excitement could not be denied. Titled ' Walking the Dragons,' the seminar was a spin-off of Joey' s bestselling book of the same title, as well as the popular TV show, ' Walking the Dragons with Joey Yap,' that aired over the course of March and April on Malaysia' s Astro Network.

Hot on the heels of the Feng Shui class in Kuala Lumpur, the BaZi Mastery Series was held in Kuala Lumpur over the four days of May 1 - 4, 2009. This was a highly-anticipated event as it had been awhile since Joey last taught Modules 1 and 2 of the BaZi Mastery Series. Joey Yap's 'Thriving in Challenging Times' seminar made its US stop at the lovely and welcoming city of San Francisco on March 28th, 2009. The event took place at the beautiful venue of the Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf Hotel in the city on a Saturday, between 10 AM and 3 PM. The event was attended by Ms. Rose Chung, Legislative Aide to Mr. David Chiu, President of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.

San Francisco Feng Shui practitioners and enthusiasts got an additional treat when Joey Yap held his ZeRi (Date Selection) Mastery Series class on his stop-over in the city for his annual Feng Shui and Astrology for 2009 talk. The class was held prior to the talk, and took place on a Thursday and Friday of March 26th and 27th at the Sheraton Fisherman Wharf's Hotel in the city.

Joey was invited to speak by the Feng Shui Association of Canada at the Novotel Hotel in Toronto on the evening of March 24, 2009. The talk was held between 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM and was especially tailored to the audience at hand with the topic, 'The 8 Trigrams Related to Space.' As the Feng Shui Association members were keen enthusiasts of Feng Shui, this in-depth and slightly more complex topic was just what they needed.

Right after the Thriving in Challenging Times seminar that took place in Toronto, Joey was once again back on his feet to teach the ZeRi (Date Selection) Mastery Series Module 1 on March 23 and 24. The class was held at the Novotel Hotel, in Mississauga, Toronto.

The crowd that packed the Novotel Hotel in Mississauga, Toronto in Canada on that chilly Sunday morning of March 22 were more than warmed up by their feelings of excitement and anticipation. They were awaiting the start of Joey Yap's annual Feng Shui and Astrology for 2009 seminar, which carried the theme 'Thriving in Challenging Times' for this particular year.

The real estate community in Toronto, Canada received a real treat when Joey Yap was on hand to present a talk for the Condo Dwellers in downtown Toronto. The talk was organised by Rob Roland, a leading real estate agent in the Mississauga area of Toronto, and took place between 11 AM and 2 PM. Being someone who enjoys yachting, and what with owning his own yacht, the talk was therefore held at the scenic location of the Port Credit Yacht Club in Mississauga - definitely a plus for all those who were present, thanks to the lovely view!

Joey's international book release, Pure Feng Shui, was the focus of attention at Chapters bookstore in Mississauga, Toronto on the evening of March 21st, 2009. Joey Yap was in-store to give a talk on the book, as it was his first-ever international book release. In keeping with the book's theme, Joey talked about Feng Shui from a simple, stripped-down perspective that emphasised its roots and basics.

Alliance Bank invited Joey Yap to present a talk on the Feng Shui and Astrology outlook for the year from a finance perspective. The talk was held on the Tuesday of March 10 at the Le Meridien hotel in the heart of Kota Kinabalu city in Sabah. The event took place between 6:30 and 10:30 PM.

Right after his successful 'Thriving in Challenging Times' seminar in Melbourne on February 21, Joey Yap conducted the ZeRi Mastery Series Modules One and Two from Sunday, February 22nd until Wednesday, February 25th. Both modules of this Date Selection course were held at Mantra on Russell hotel right in the middle of Melbourne city.

On early Saturday morning, February 21, the Sofitel Melbourne was already a hive of activity. Joey Yap's Feng Shui and Astrology for 2009 seminar, with the theme 'Thriving in Challenging Times,' was taking place at the venue and the general level of energy was high. Many people had travelled from all around Australia to attend this much-anticipated annual seminar.

On Saturday, December 20 2008, Joey Yap was invited The University of Technology Sydney (UTS) Alumni Malaysian Chapter to present a talk on 'Feng Shui for 2009.' The talk was open to the public, and held at Taylor's College in Subang Jaya, Selangor. The event was well-attended by people who were keen to learn more about the Feng Shui analysis for the upcoming year.

The Mian Xiang Mastery Series Modules 1 and 2 was held at the Mastery Academy in Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur from December 12 to 15, 2008. These introductory modules were educational and eye opening for students in terms of learning all about the history, use, and effectiveness of Mian Xiang (Face Reading) techniques.

It saw a good turnout of people keen to hear what Joey had to say about incorporating Feng Shui into the home for 2009.

Joey Yap was invited to present a seminar workshop by ShareInvestor Singapore during a full-day seminar event, 'Market Outlook for the Year 2009.' The event took place at the Singapore Expo Convention & Exhibition Centre on Saturday, December 6. Various experts in the trading and investment industry were on hand to speak and share their knowledge on investing in difficult times. The event took place during 10 AM to 6 PM and was well-attended by people keen to learn all about the tricks and techniques of making profitable investments even when the markets were not exactly conducive for it.

The Ze Ri Mastery Series Module 1 and 2 were held in Singapore at the Grand Mercure Roxy Hotel between December 5 and 8 this year. The classes saw a good turnout of students ready to learn the intricacies of Date Selection.

Joey Yap was invited by New York City Chapter of the International Feng Shui Guild at the Meta Center to present a talk to its members and interested students and practitioners. The talk was approximately an hour and a half, and saw Joey speaking to a venue-full of NYC Feng Shui practitioners who were keen to hear more about a somewhat "different" perspective on Feng Shui than what they were used to - Classical Landform Feng Shui! As the International Feng Shui Guild is committed to uniting Feng Shui practitioners, educators, and students in their common interest and support of the practice, it was therefore an ideal avenue in which Joey could further his message of the importance of Classical Feng Shui over New Age Feng Shui.

Between the hours of 10 AM and 4 PM on the Saturday of November 8, the Doubletree Guest Suites in Times Square, New York was alive with activity as long-time students and new enthusiasts packed the venue for the 'Thriving in Challenging Times Using Classical Feng Shui and Chinese Astrology' seminar.

East West Living in Manhattan, New York, launched Joey Yap's newest international release, Pure Feng Shui, at their store on Friday, November 7. The store, which has a long history of being New York's largest source of books and resources on holistic living, metaphysics, and alternative health, is located on chic and upscale 5th Avenue. The store was a classy yet intimate venue for the launch of the book, a simple yet in-depth exploration into the rudiments of Classical Feng Shui, minus "New Age-y" traps and tricks of modern popular Feng Shui. Indeed, as the book title suggests, it is a return to the authentic principles of "pure" Feng Shui as it was studied and practiced traditionally, with these classical theories and methods now being made applicable to modern living.

Joey Yap’s international book release, Pure Feng Shui, was officially launched in Borders bookstore at Charing Cross Road in London on Thursday, November 6 to an appreciative audience of enthusiasts and Feng Shui students and professionals. Audience members settled in at around 6:30 PM to hear Joey speak on the exciting possibilities of Classical Feng Shui application in modern living. He explained just how Feng Shui became somewhat tarnished over the years due to the influx of popular New Age beliefs and practices, and described how authentic Feng Shui is rooted in the classical texts and sources.

November 5, 2008 saw Joey Yap take the stage at the famed non-profit cultural centre and gallery, Asia House, for a presentation entitled "How Chinese Metaphysics Really Works." Beginning at approximately 6:45 PM in the evening, the topic was suited to the beautiful and inspiring venue, as the Asia House is an organisation that is focused on Asian business, politics, current affairs, literature and the visual and performing arts, and is housed in a richly-historic building in London based on neo-classical architecture.

Fast on the heels of his inaugural speaking appearance in London, Joey presented his Date Selection Modules (ZeRi) 1 and 2 classes at the bustling Canary Wharf (built on the historic site of the West India Docks) in London between November 3 and November 6. This was a notable moment for many reasons; not least because it was the second time ever that the Date Selection class was being held, and also because it was the first time it was being held outside of Malaysia. Module 1 was held between November 3 and 4, while Module 2 was held between November 5 and 6.

London welcomed Joey Yap for his inaugural seminar in the famed city, as the 'Thriving in Challenging Times Using Classical Feng Shui and Chinese Astrology' seminar took place on Sunday, November 2. The seminar was held at the Hilton Tower Bridge, London between 10 AM and 4 PM. The cosy and intimate venue was within one of the city's most prestigious hotels, located against the historic backdrop of the London Tower Bridge.

Students descended eagerly onto the Mastery Academy office in The Boulevard, Mid Valley City for their introductory foray into Destiny Analysis with BaZi Mastery Series Module 1. Taught by MA Instructor Bernice Low, the class was filled with students who were keen to embark on their educational journey into the heart of Destiny Analysis, using classic principles and techniques of BaZi.

Feng Shui Module 4 can be aptly described as the grand finale for a student enrolled in the Mastery Academy Feng Shui Mastery Series. It is an intensive and vigorous course that takes the students out of the classroom and into the real world – in order to learn and experience Feng Shui as it is – no longer as theories and principles on paper. Fittingly enough, the course ran for a week from October 15 until October 22. And for the first time ever, the Module 4 class held in Kuala Lumpur saw the students heading to 2 new, additional locations besides KL – Johor and Singapore!

Joey's latest book, Walking the Dragons, was reviewed in the Life and Times section of one of Malaysia's leading dailies, The New Straits Times. The review appeared on October 11, 2008.

On July 5, 2008, the Financial Planning through Feng Shui Workshop was held at the Mastery Academy head office in Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur. From 10am to 3pm, with a break in-between for lunch, the audience was treated to a delightful and informative presentation by two industry experts, Thomas Mathew of The Maximas Group, and Toh Kong Eu, a consultant with the Mastery Academy.

The Mian Xiang (Face Reading) Module 1 class was held in Gold Coast, Australia on June 22, 2008. Taught by MA founder Joey Yap, the class was held in the beautiful, architecturally-stunning Q1, the world's tallest residential tower. Just minutes away from the gorgeous sun-kissed beaches of the Gold Coast, enthusiastic participants got down to some serious work of reading – face reading, that is.

Joey Yap presented the 'Face and Destiny' Seminar to a large and appreciative Australian audience on June 21, 2008. Held at the Conrad Jupiters in Gold Coast, participants got the best out of Joey's extensive knowledge on Mian Xiang (Face Reading) and BaZi (Chinese Astrology) over the course of the day-long seminar.

Our first destination was Li Keng, the Lee Ancestral Village at Wu Yuan. The bus ride took over an hour, and we were greeted by a Military Arts mountain star at the gates. Something’s up, but I shall get back to this. The main village is another 5 minutes cart ride from the main gate.

Malaysia Insurance Institute invited Joey Yap to conduct a talk at the One World Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The talk, entitled "Mian Xiang - Understanding a Person's Face" was an exclusive presentation for MII's members.

OCBC bank invited Joey Yap to conduct a talk for their premier banking customers at Shangri-La Hotel Tanjung Aru, Kota Kinabalu. The talk was entitled "Face Reading: Understanding a Person's Face".
